- Total Capsulectomy: Removal of the implant along with the entire scar tissue capsule.
- En Bloc Capsulectomy: Removal of the implant and capsule as one intact unit (when possible).
After Explantation
Following implant removal, many patients opt for a breast lift (mastopexy) or fat grafting to restore the shape, volume, and projection of the natural breast tissue. Dr. Williams will discuss these options to ensure the best possible aesthetic outcome after explantation.
